About the event

10 am:  Beef Operation walk and talk with veteran Chris Isher of Sinking Creek Meats. Sinking Creek sells direct-to-consumer Black Angus.  Chris will be joined by special guest Michael Sherman, Lycoming County Farm Service Agency Executive Director and USDA Beginning Farmer Coordinator for Pennsylvania, who will discuss how to incorporate FSA programs into a beef operation.

11 am: Field walk with NRCS: manure stacking barn, stream crossing, rotational fencing, livestock watering system. Meet the designer and NRCS staff, and hear from Chris about the process of working with the EQIP program for technical assistance and payment incentives. (All veteran farmers welcome--not just for beef producers!)

Noon:   Networking lunch for all veteran/mil farmers and their spouses.
